Dear Parish Family,This morning at our 8:00AM Mass our First Reading reminded us: “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another…” 1 John 4:11-18
During these very trying times for thousands of our brothers and sisters all throughout our beloved City of Los Angeles and surrounding areas, let us lift prayers of hope for all.
There will be a time for us to think of many creative ways to help rebuild our community and extend a helping hand.
Please know that our celebration of the Eucharist this morning had one simple recurring theme: “Let us not be afraid for we trust in the Lord through it all.” And neighborly we will extend a hand to our brothers and sisters.
Let us keep in prayer all who lost their homes, all who feel no hope in the midst of these fires, all who are helping during these fires and after, firefighters, police officers, medical personnel, news media, and for sure all who are neighborly helping each other in devastated areas.
Come, Oh Holy Spirit, and gently comfort our people.
Come, Oh Holy Spirit, and heal our City.
Come, Oh Holy Spirit, and unite us all.
Come, Oh Holy Spirit, and guide us.
Amen!

Saint Charles Borromeo, founded in 1920, is a Roman Catholic Church that serves the North Hollywood community in Southern California. The church, located at the corner of Lankershim and Moorpark, is a beautiful building depicting Spanish, colonial-style architecture.
